New Ownership Acquires Zenith Tecnica to meet Surging Demand and Drive Rapid Expansion
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND – [8th July 2026] – Zenith Tecnica Limited (Zenith), a New Zealand-based contract manufacturer specializing in Electron Beam Melting (EBM) titanium additive manufacturing (AM), has today announced its acquisition alongside an immediate program to expand production capacity.

Over the past decade, Zenith has established itself as a trusted manufacturing partner to the medical device industry, producing patient-specific orthopedic implants, surgical instruments, and other critical titanium medical devices. As demand for its ISO 13485:2016 certified manufacturing capabilities continued to accelerate, the company's next phase of growth called for leadership with experience operating and scaling businesses in highly regulated manufacturing environments. The new ownership group brings experience where quality systems, traceability and operational reliability are fundamental, such as the highly regulated food and dairy production sector, and large-scale industrial operations. This acquisition, completed on June 18, 2026, is structured around a single objective: scaling a business whose reputation for quality has pushed it beyond the limits of its current manufacturing capacity.
Over the past twelve months, demand from new and existing customers has sharpened and grown to the point where Zenith’s available machine allocation is fully committed. Founded in 2014, what was, up until recently, a five-EBM-machine operation has since grown to six systems, yet demand continues to exceed available capacity. As a result, the company is immediately expanding to eight systems as part of its next phase of growth, cementing its place as one of the largest EBM manufacturing providers in the world.

Heather Grace, the company's outgoing owner, has led Zenith through a period of sustained growth, including a 490% increase in annual revenue since FY2020, states:
“When I took ownership of Zenith after my tenure as General Manager, my goal was always to strengthen the business, continue to nurture and build our capable team, and ultimately transition it into the hands of owners who could drive its next stage of growth. I couldn't be happier with where the company stands today and the opportunities that lie ahead.”
As a move to support the new leadership, and ensure a seamless transition, Heather Grace will remain as Interim General Manager through August 2026, after which she will begin to step back towards retirement.

The Programs Behind the Growth.
Working in partnership with leading global medical device companies, Zenith produces a range of critical medical components used in complex procedures, offering both serial production and one-off bespoke medical devices. This includes patient-specific implants used for complex orthopedic oncology and severe trauma cases, where standard implant systems are not suitable. These components are designed directly from patient imaging data and manufactured by Zenith Tecnica using Electron Beam Melting (EBM) additive manufacturing, enabling highly tailored geometries for reconstruction surgeries.
By combining patient-specific design with additive manufacturing, these solutions enable surgeons to address cases that would otherwise be extremely challenging to reconstruct, providing anatomically matched components designed for the specific clinical scenario rather than adapting treatment options to standard implant limitations.
“The rapid expansion of demand we are seeing has only been possible after years of relationship building and developing the technical prowess to become a name that is trusted time and time again, no matter the industry. For us, it’s not just about being the best at understanding the technology, but it’s about understanding the customer; their projects, their timeline, and what they need out of us as a manufacturing partner.” Continues Heather Grace, Interim General Manager, Zenith Tecnica.

Incoming Ownership.
New owners, Andrew Burgess and Blair Jordan, bring experience spanning aerospace manufacturing, such as Boeing and Amazon’s low-earth orbit satellite programs, as well as highly regulated food and dairy production environments, such as infant formula, where quality control and operational reliability are critical. This is complemented by their joint experience in large-scale industrial operations and engineering-led business growth.
The immediate priorities under new ownership are the installation of two additional EBM machines and the facility’s shift to larger premises. This comes as demand from customers and partners rise and the need to support a larger machine fleet and implement vertical integration grows stronger.
“What we found at Zenith is rare. We’ve got a team that has earned trust across a mix of extremely highly regulated industries, all by positioning ourselves as an extension of our customers’ engineering and quality departments.” Says incoming Managing Director of Zenith Tecnica, Blair Jordan.
“Looking ahead, our goal is simple: focusing on scaling alongside our customers in a way that stays true to how we operate. That means continuing to invest in the capability behind the business, whether that is equipment, people, or floor space, so we can grow capacity without losing the speed and flexibility that our reputation has been built on.”

Looking Ahead.
With customer demand continuing to grow across the medical, aerospace, and other advanced manufacturing sectors, the acquisition marks the start of a significant expansion phase for Zenith Tecnica. The addition of new EBM systems, larger facilities, and expanded manufacturing capabilities will strengthen the company's position as one of the world's largest and most capable EBM manufacturing partners, while enabling it to support increasingly ambitious programs for customers around the globe.
