The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced a nationwide expansion of its Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Expanded Model, making bundled payments for hip, knee, and ankle replacements a reality for most U.S. hospitals beginning January 2028.
