About

Mark Maloney is the CEO of Venops Inc. and Principal of Orthotechnik LLC, an orthopedic distribution and healthcare solutions company serving physicians, hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers across Georgia and the Southeast. With decades of experience spanning orthopedic technology, medical sales, compliance, physician relations, and healthcare operations, he has built a career around helping independent practices and surgical teams adapt to change while preserving the fundamentals of quality patient care. His interest in trauma was part of his motivation for co-founding eTrauma, an early technology platform in digital imaging and EMR. A Distinguished Military Graduate of Georgia State University, Mark is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and in Europe in both enlisted and officer roles. His background as a combat photographer, combat arms military officer, and helicopter pilot shaped a lifelong interest in leadership, communication, technology, and service. Through Venops, Mark works at the intersection of healthcare compliance, AI, workflow optimization, and physician support services. Orthotechnik focuses on emerging orthopedic technologies, including biologics, sports medicine, wound closure, and minimally invasive solutions. He is particularly interested in how artificial intelligence, automation, and new business models are reshaping orthopedic practice in the same way the smartphone transformed daily life over the past two decades. Mark is also Founder and President of Cobb Thanks You For Your Service, a Georgia-based nonprofit supporting veterans and their families. He also serves as Chairman of Zion Keepers, a nonprofit that helps veterans with housing. He joined the Orthopedics This Week Editorial Advisory Board because he believes meaningful progress in orthopedics comes from open discussion, intellectual curiosity, and the willingness of experienced professionals to share what they have learned.
