CASTEL SAN PIETRO, September 11, 2025 – Medacta Group SA (“Medacta” SIX: MOVE) continues the rollout of its expanded Personalized Sports Medicine Portfolio at the 42nd AGA Congress (Gesellschaft für Arthroskopie und Gelenkchirurgie – Society for Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery) in Hamburg, Germany, highlighting its commitment to advancing personalized repair and reconstruction solutions designed to restore natural joint motion and improve patient outcomes.

At Booth 214, visitors can discover Medacta’s latest innovations, designed to make sports medicine procedures simpler, more reproducible, and effective.

Among them is the debut of QuickStitch, an intuitive, reliable, and user-friendly device engineered for precise suture placement in meniscal Inside-Out tissue repair, helping surgeons preserve the meniscus and restore joint function with confidence. “Inside-Out Next Level – fits perfectly in the hand, is easy and intuitive to use, and reduces stitching time. A very well thought-out, innovative tool that makes the inside-out stitch as easy as an all-inside stitch,” said Dr. Björn Drews, Munich.

The expanded portfolio also features:

  • DrawTight, a clinically proven suture-based fixation platform designed for ease of use and reliability across multiple extremity procedures.
  • ActiFlip and ActiFlip Cinch, cortical button fixation systems designed for reproducibility in onlay biceps tenodesis.
  • Knotless PEEK CF Push-In, a clinically proven carbon fiber–reinforced knotless lateral row anchor system engineered for speed, reproducibility, and durability.

Today, a lunch symposium led by Prof. Christian Fink and Dr. Robert Smigielski (Room Y.1, Congress Center Hamburg) will highlight Medacta’s personalized solutions through complex knee case studies, including advanced management of meniscal tears, ACL re-ruptures with medial instability, and patellar re-dislocation after Medial Patellofemoral Ligament reconstruction.

“These advances underscore our commitment to innovation and clinical value. The future of sports medicine is personalization—helping every surgeon deliver tailored care and every patient return to activity with confidence,” said Francesco Siccardi, CEO of Medacta.

All solutions are supported by the M.O.R.E. Institute, offering world-class, tailored educational programs that guide surgeons in adopting the latest advancements. With Medacta, the surgeon is never alone.

This is a fascinating development. In my practice we've seen similar outcomes with the revised protocol. The key differentiator seems to be patient selection criteria. Has anyone else noticed the correlation with BMI thresholds?

Great point. I'd push back slightly on the conclusion, the sample size in the cited study is too small to draw population-level inferences. That said, the directional signal is compelling and worth a larger RCT.

We implemented a similar approach last year. Early results are promising but we're still gathering 12-month follow-up data. Happy to share our protocol if anyone is interested.
