The University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopedics has announced that the Orland Bethel Family Foundation has committed $18.5 million to create a biological specimen repository within the Orland Bethel Family Musculoskeletal Research Center (BMRC)—the only such comprehensive entity in the United States. This project will propel the development of treatments for arthritis and other painful, life-limiting conditions affecting millions of people around the world.
