Ray Shealy and Grant Koster, PT, ATC, FACHE have joined IncludeHealth, Inc., a Columbus, Ohio-based provider of musculoskeletal technology solutions.

Shealy, an entrepreneur and healthcare executive, joins IncludeHealth as its new chief operating officer. Shealy is the founder and CEO of Margaux Capital, a private equity and consulting company. In 2016, he co-founded Noxsano Inc, a wound care company.

Shealy was the chief executive officer of Health in Motion Network, which was acquired by Custom Health. At Custom Health he was the senior vice president of strategic accounts and product. He has worked at several other notable companies including McKesson, T-Systems, IBM, and Ernst & Young. He has also served as a board member at a number of companies.

OTW spoke with Shealy about joining IncludeHealth. “I look forward to collaborating with providers and the innovative team at IncludeHealth,” Shealy said, “to harness the power of our revolutionary MSK-OS [musculoskeletal operating system] platform through novel approaches to MSK care delivery, with the ultimate goal of elevating the quality of life for patients and unlocking the value of RTM [remote therapeutic monitoring] for providers.”

Koster, a physical therapy executive with 20 years of experience, joins the IncludeHealth Board of Directors (BOD). He has served as the senior vice president of operations, partner, and general manager of Athletico Physical Therapy. He has had a range of responsibilities including clinical operations, business strategy and development, and human capital growth.

OTW spoke with Koster about what he is most looking forward to in his new role on the IncludeHealth BOD. “I am most looking forward to working on the forefront of healthcare evolution by creating models to provide increased value to the provider experience as well as the patient experience and outcomes.”

IncludeHealth partners with musculoskeletal providers to enable hybrid care models. IncludeHealth CEO and Founder Ryan Eder commented, “We are also excited to welcome Grant and Ray to our team. Their expertise and experience will be invaluable as we scale our operations and bring our technology to more people worldwide.”

This is a fascinating development. In my practice we've seen similar outcomes with the revised protocol. The key differentiator seems to be patient selection criteria. Has anyone else noticed the correlation with BMI thresholds?

Great point. I'd push back slightly on the conclusion, the sample size in the cited study is too small to draw population-level inferences. That said, the directional signal is compelling and worth a larger RCT.

We implemented a similar approach last year. Early results are promising but we're still gathering 12-month follow-up data. Happy to share our protocol if anyone is interested.
