Thierry Lambert

The finances of Safe Orthopaedics are now the responsibility of Thierry Lambert, a veteran management expert who brings 15 years of experience to the company. Lambert has been appointed the company’s chief financial officer.

Thierry Lambert’s experience includes working at the Naturex group, which he joined in 2009 as corporate finance manager and where he then became group CFO. Previously, Lambert held positions at CIT and PricewaterhouseCoopers in the United Kingdom where he worked on mergers and acquisitions and leveraged finance. He is a qualified UK chartered accountant and also holds an MBA from INSEAD. In 2014, he was ranked by DAF Magazine as one of the 50 most influential CFOs in France.

“We are delighted to welcome Thierry Lambert to our team”, said Yves Vignancour, chief executive officer of Safe Orthopaedics, in the September 9, 2015 news release. “His international experience and strong financial expertise gained at a leading international group will be crucial assets for us as we look to step up our international expansion in Europe, the United States and around the world.”

Lambert told OTW, “My immediate focus will be on adapting best the reporting systems and tools that Safe Orthopaedics uses to its evolving needs as a fast-developing company. Additionally, as we are a recent addition to the Euronext stock market, I will work on making Safe Orthopaedics better known to French, European and U.S. investors.”

This is a fascinating development. In my practice we've seen similar outcomes with the revised protocol. The key differentiator seems to be patient selection criteria. Has anyone else noticed the correlation with BMI thresholds?

Great point. I'd push back slightly on the conclusion, the sample size in the cited study is too small to draw population-level inferences. That said, the directional signal is compelling and worth a larger RCT.

We implemented a similar approach last year. Early results are promising but we're still gathering 12-month follow-up data. Happy to share our protocol if anyone is interested.
