Millstone Medical to Add 40, 000 Square Feet

As noted in the news release, the company expects the addition to be completed in Q1 2015. The 200-250% increase in production capacity is supposed to allow Millstone to continue its growth and permit the organization to meet the increasing demands of its customers.
“We are thrilled about this expansion, ” said Brad Schwarz, Millstone’s chief operating in the July 10, 2014 news release. “The influx of programs we have seen over the past few years is astonishing. Doubling our capacity and strengthening our partnerships, this expansion will provide us the additional space and capabilities required to meet more of our customer’s post manufacturing needs.”
Schwarz told OTW, “One year from now, our Fall River headquarters will have increased its capacity by 200%+ with this facility expansion. With additional capacity, Millstone is poised to support the increased demand from our existing client base, as well as allow for future growth.”

Discussion
This is a fascinating development. In my practice we've seen similar outcomes with the revised protocol. The key differentiator seems to be patient selection criteria. Has anyone else noticed the correlation with BMI thresholds?
Great point. I'd push back slightly on the conclusion, the sample size in the cited study is too small to draw population-level inferences. That said, the directional signal is compelling and worth a larger RCT.
We implemented a similar approach last year. Early results are promising but we're still gathering 12-month follow-up data. Happy to share our protocol if anyone is interested.
